MAGIC IN HER VOICE

A career story that has for its heroine shy, awkward Margaret Travis who has a beautiful speaking voice, and for its plot, Margaret's job as a telephone ad taker on her town's newspaper, The Standard Because she proves so good at her work, Margaret is given the opportunity to create her own project- a special department for taking used car ads. A love interest and a mystery develop immediately. Robert Brooks, sent by the F.B.I. to look into suspicious used car deals, recognizes Margaret's fine inner qualities, gives her the rush, and together they nail an agent for illegally exported Cadillacs.
