FOR TEEN AGERS ONLY

A consultant on high school marriage problems offers advice, in the form of narratives and frank conversations with typical young people, that points to the only sensible course of action for teen agers who are in love. Wait and see. Topics that come up for discussion range the scale of marriage problems from economic support to pre-marital intercourse. The deadly earnest manner of presentation is calculated to make teen agers sit up and take notice of the possible and very probably dire consequences of rash action. On this score there is a tendency to misinterpret Kinsey and to let mistaken conclusions about the Kinsey Reports ride. We question this technique as a protective measure and we were disappointed by the stagy quality of the conversations. But the ultimate advice on being a complete and responsible individual, with the same qualities stressed for both sexes, should have a salutary effect. Evidently from this, the problem of high school marriages is more widespread than we thought.
