MISS SMITH'S HUSBAND

Light weight entertainment, with an original twist and a story with plenty of ingredients that will appeal to the housewife. Miss Smith's husband is an able business executive whose personal prestige is somewhat dimmed by his wife's fame as a novelist. Then comes the chance to move on to a bigger job, provided her identity is kept secret. They accept the challenge, but the efforts to be the good little wife, who is willing to be managed by the executive's inherited secretary, proves too much for self-sufficient, capable Lou to handle, especially when she finds that Matt swallows the palpable lies concocted to defeat her by the omnipresent Kate. How Lou wins the community and the company wives- and finally defeats Kate's machinations supplies the plot developed against a background of mid-western small city life, the remaking of a monstrosity into a home, and the strengthening of a marriage that might have gone on the rocks.
