KIRKUS REVIEW

The literal-minded housemaid is now substituting for a sick boy in a baseball game, and we don't have to tell you how she responds to her teammates' shouted instructions to ""tag Jack,"" ""put Dick out,"" and ""run home."" But her final score breaks a tie and saves the game for her team, the Grizzlies, and when she returns the home plate (which she had ""stolen"" as directed) heaped with cookies, the Grizzlies cheer her even though they don't plan to make her a regular. This time Amelia has really Come Back, and the combination of bad puns and baseball setting should keep her hitting streak alive.
