DECEMBER DECORATIONS: A Holiday How-to Book

Many, perhaps most, of Parish's simple homemade deocrations will be familiar to anyone who has attended nursery school and kindergarten. Most use some kind of paper (for chains and other tree trimmings, wreaths, snowflakes, even a menorah) and there are also the ubiquitous yam ""roundabouts"" (better known as eyes of God), some eggshell ornaments and pipe cleaner candy canes (paint one pipe cleaner of each pair red, then twine the two around each other and bend for the cane) along with a paper cup bell and paper plate Santa faces and angels. Probably the advantage of their appearance here is that the directions are as easy to read as to follow so that children can go right ahead with the projects while parents and teachers make their own preparations.
