TRILLIUM AND THE TULIPS

Gay and amusing illustrations by the author are not enough to redeem a story which is intended as sheer nonsense, but emerges as being a pretty mean trick to play on little Trillium, naughty as she was. One day she ate her mother's tulips, and woke next day to find tulips sprouting out of her head. It seemed that nothing could be done, so her mother used her for a centerpiece. And then one day she did a good deed and two tulips fell off. Another good deed- and she lost two more. Needless to say, she became a well-behaved child after that. Gingham patterned board covers.
