KIRKUS REVIEW

Another author who is a ""money maker"" for your library, and who appeals particularly to men who seek adventure stories and care nothing for romance. Belongs in the Beau Geste school, and tells the story of Dacres and Dysart, who tiring of the sea, join the army, and then buy their way out for the sake of an adventurous scheme of gun running. The period is 1885-1890, when the Sahara desert had not become a mecca of tourists, and when dangers were real.
