Overcrowded as the field has been overhead, this is an excellent history of American commercial aviation which includes the corporation battles and fierce financial competition as well as the daring flights and designs. Kelly is a flyer, a former airline lawyer and a Civil Aeronautics Board adviser. He is a serious student of American aviation and he has not concentrated solely on its wing-tip glamor. It ought to make a smooth landing with the financially/mechanically oriented.
