These essays by a Professor at Boston University are actually addressed to this audience, rather than their elders, as a clarification of the ""problems of sex, love and marriage as part of the total search for value in life."" From a discussion of petting, its causes and consequences, this follows through to the sexual relationship and the reasons for premarital abstinence, and finally marriage as the only satisfactory solution if a ""congruent pattern of values"" obtains. Motivated by a practical understanding of social and personal factors, this is a sympathetic and persuasive presentation.
