GIANTS AMONG NATIONS

This book is a survey of our foreign economic policies. It describes and criticizes America's use of foreign trade, foreign investment, and foreign aid to promote prosperity at home and to advance American objectives abroad. The author believes that America must do more than she is doing to help the underdeveloped nations improve their lot. He also advocates our helping the satellite nations so that they may more quickly become independent of Russia. The author is for freer trade, more imports, a solution to our farm problem, a war against poverty, stabilization of the incomes of raw materials' producers, and last but not least, a coherent foreign economic policy to make the world wealthier.
