KIRKUS REVIEW

This penny ante penny dreadful takes place in some green felt jungle (Mr. Chambers, whose imagination is as limited as his vocabulary, even calls one character Mr. Vegas) is hired to find a missing grandson of a scion but instead seems engaged in solving the knifing of a casino operator and the redemption of a ""gew gaw."" No Peace for the Wicked--no rest for the reviewer unless you equate it with torpor.
