KIRKUS REVIEW

Deservedly a winner of the $2,000 prize for a western. Good plot, well handled. Gunshooting Jim soon parts from his grasping uncle to fight on the side of the law-abiding neighbors, escapes being framed for murder, evades sudden death, sees justice done and gets his gal. Nicely turned formula, mystery-western.
