The old familiar -- in faces, Pat, Ezra and Sam; in places, Powder Valley and Dutch Springs, and in paces -- for Pat takes the deputy's star to worry out the truth of the series of robberies in which Sheriff Haley has proved incompetent. The Kershaws are suspect and an omnipresent outlaw is fair game but a bank stickup, a fire, a jail delivery and a murder get Pat to horn if for a lead throwing finale. Still spry.
