BASIL BRUSH IN THE JUNGLE

Basil Brush, the enterprising fox (Basil Brush Finds Treasure, etc.), builds ""a strong cage, with a lock and a key, suitable for a wild animal."" Friend Harry mole persuades him to take it to the jungle ""and find a wild animal."" And, thanks to an Indian umbrella-seller and ferryman, they do--it's Basil himself, looking fuming in the cage that, for one reason or another, couldn't hold a crocodile, a snake, a butterfly, a tiger (""too""--fearsomely--""hungry""), or a magpie. The Indians have the last laugh--""This fox is too wild for our jungle""--and Basil is cured of building cages. Transparently contrived and only feebly humorous.
