KIRKUS REVIEW

Retired anti-fascist fighter Ricci Bartoli, postwar New York tailor, finds the violent past inexorably intruding in the person of Colombo -- the ""Dove"", erstwhile Mussolini underling who comes to cache fascist gold in the new world. A wild weekend in Montreal soon fixes the ""Dove's"" goose. Much in the Eric Ambler style of adventure-mystery with political underpinnings.
