Seven exceedingly brief stories, in the spirit of the Sillies or the Peterkins, about a pig who asks himself ridiculous questions (why did I paint everything red when ""I don't like red!""?) and does ridiculous things--e.g., trying to take a hole home (the more he tries to dig it up, the bigger it gets, till it's just ""too big and heavy !""). Amiable, cartoon-style illustrations (many of them included as vignettes withing the text) and plenty of white space help make this an appealing book for any small child who is amused by how silly it is to try to hide by closing your eyes.
