ENGLISH TRADE TOKENS

For the avid coin collector--and his avidity must be pronounced to insure interest in this specialized topic--the informal British currency produced by individual citizens in the early nineteenth century to supplement the Royal Mint are presented in photographs and explanatory text. Mainly used by commercial and industrial concerns, the trade coins also offer what this author calls ""an illustrated history of the Industrial Revolution."" Well-written and photographed--but for a select numismatic audience.
