HANGING IN THERE!

A deftly written bit of fluff by a man who claims (though he's still a top dog at Simon & Schuster) that he's tottering on the precipice of superannuation along with the reader. He tells how to avoid getting pushed out of the job market and offers some encouraging anecdotes--not about a retired shoe salesman farming earthworms but about certifiable business successes by senior citizens. Like Eva Herdler Greene who began her own petroleum-related testing and evaluation business in her mid-sixties and is still running it at ninety-one. There's a list of semi-interesting hobbies to choose from, in case making money isn't the main thing, and the book is illustrated with cartoons by Whitney Darrow, Jr., which is always nice.
