KIRKUS REVIEW

Mr. Townend, who seems to be a mod Pete Fry (i.e., they don't come any worse) has written a shrill thrillkill about a photographer in Spain attempting to salvage a young woman from the hands of a man making a rich living out of extortion (of ex-Nazis) and those of his German aide. The high or low point -- our hero in drag stuffing his brassiere or shaving his legs. And however expensively outfitted (wine, perfumes, fast cars) it's very cheap.
