COWHAND GOES TO TOWN

Pub Date: Oct. 17th, 1939

Young Sam Volney can toss a lariat and rope a steer as well as Shorty, ablest cowhand on the Volney's Texas ranch. There are three other things he wants pretty badly, to marry off his new teacher by Christmas, to take a trip up the stockyards and to acquire a six-shooter of his own. With masterly ingenuity he accomplishes all three. This is the kind of hilarious tale that boys will go for. Too bad it isn't longer.
