One of his best -- and the Kurt Wiese illustrations are perfect. Euclid was a horse that had an infinite capacity for appearing foolish -- and succeeded time and again in bringing fame to his young owner by winning races in which the odds all seemed against him. How this combination of qualities proved of value in winning the friendship of the Sauk Indians, when the family moved to Iowa makes an original and entertaining story, with a bit of pioneer background, as well as good fun. A sure seller.
