TUPAK OF THE INCAS

By

Publisher: Scribner

There is something here of the old fairytale pattern of the prince who had lost his princehood and of how he found it again through valorous deeds. In spite of which (for some readers who carry over a liking for fairy tales, because of which) it is a first rate yarn of the days of the Incas in old Peru, of a lad whose father was in , and who escapes the virtual slavery of his own life, to seek a chance to regain the ground his father's misdeeds had lost him. With the aid of a soldier, who becomes his guardian and friend, and through his own innate courage and breeding, he attains his goal. Picture of life in those days has an authentic note.
