KIRKUS REVIEW

In darkest London, two unlikely allies join forces for a big, slow score. Accomplished burglar Charlie Hurst will break into businessmen's houses, stealing trinkets and looking for inside information about impending company deals, and canny stockbroker Jeremy Newton will use the information to make lucrative trades on the exchange. All goes well until Jeremy takes up with a friend of his wife's, his wife gets suspicious, and Jeremy and Charlie have a little disagreement about how fast they ought to be getting rich. Slack plotting from veteran Daniels (GoldmineLondon W.1., 1993, etc.), aka Peter Chambersthough the snappy writing provides a certain pulpish drive.
