This second volume deals with women:- Jane Addams, Evangeline Booth, Edith Cavell, Marie Curie, Helen Keller, Jenny Lind, Muriel Lester, Amelia Earhart, Harriet Deacher Stowe, Florence Nightingale, Maude Royden, Alice Freeman Palmer, Susannah Wesley, Frances Willard, Mary Woolley. Each brief biography is presented by someone in the field of religious education, with the approach distinctly inspirational. Topics for discussion at the close of the chapters, lists of suggested reading, etc. Pretty stereotyped and dull reading. Value limited -- and questionable.
