DEATH AND CHICANERY

Two long and two short stories have a varied appeal;-there's a more sentimental than sinister story of a thoroughbred horse and its contested ownership; a light tit for tat in the story of a world famous physicist who is the victim of a teen-ager with cinematic ambitions, until his wife teaches her the tricks of the trade; a story of a primitive judgment in the Manchurian hills; and finally a murder, in which a man's subliminal mechanism alerts him to the truth.... Personable, peripheral entertainment.
