MOSCOW COACH by Philip McCutchan

MOSCOW COACH

By

Publisher: John Day

This is the sixth appearance (third in the U.S.) for Commander Esmond Shaw, a dreadnought--you can attach either meaning--of the British Intelligence. He is sent to Russia to assassinate a rabid British Communist, Conroy, who in turn is planning to kill an important official, Kosyenko. With him is Virginia MacKinlay of the FBI-- ""I can only hope you'll take my word for it."" Don't. McCutchan's knowledge of Russia seems just as uninformed--he can't spell Khrushchev. In fact he can't write. ""The whole of Shaw's mission could have been bust wide open."" One suspects he never passed his Eleven Plus.
