WHO KILLED THE PIE MAN?

It never rains but it pours and thunders, as private investigating attorney Leo Roi picks a sodden trail through the outskirts of organized crime, numismatics, police corruption, blackmail in money marts, and the chilly mansion of a rich old man. His object -- to spring a young black activist from the charge of fatally shooting his white girl friend and an elderly coin collector. Lore is the alias of Terrence Lore Smith who idles about character and ambiance as if he had all the time in the world to tie up tangled threads. He does -- at the end of a long trip -- but you'll enjoy it.
