KIRKUS REVIEW

Set in Connecticut and centered around the doings of a pet raccoon, here is a family mystery, brisk and warm. Tacks, 12 and a budding naturalist, lives with his Granpa and Granma Firthy on their farm. He finds Daniel Coon as a baby, is allowed to keep him and runs into a lot of funny adventures- with Danny and with his friends Brian and Vi. Then a big one comes along- a lost deed that may cost Granpa Firthy part of his land. You guessed it, Danny finds the deed. But the rest of this well-written little book is as much fun as the climax.
