LISTEN FOR THE WHISPERER

Breathing down your neck all the way, this is one of the silliest stories Phyllis Whitney has ever told as nearly as you can remember and it is all about Laura Worth, once a famous film star, who abandoned her husband and daughter and career to retire in Garboesque isolation in Bergen. Now that daughter, at first pseudonymously, goes to interview her and finds a very frightened woman whom she manages to bring ""out to meet life again"" which none of this remotely resembles.
