KIRKUS REVIEW

A charming introduction to a new cat-member in the family. This is the story of a little black kitten and his reaction to a new home. Bewildered by the enthusiastic pettings of his young masters, by the new noise and motions of his home, the little cat behaves in a most characteristic fashion--he hides under furniture and emerges only to arch his back and ruffle up his fur. But gradually, with familiarity, he becomes a curious little cat, then a sleepy cat, and finally a brave and contented little cat. Ninon's four color illustrations capture all the furry charm of a fluffy black kitten, all the coziness of a warm and friendly home.
