KIRKUS REVIEW

Light, to bright, to nimble poems from Westchester which celebrate the joys and delights of suburban living. An introduction, in prose, takes up the cudgels for the commuter and his family, for the tangible advantages of life out of the city, and defends the criticisms that have been made against Suburbia. And this vers de societe suburbia combines the domestic slant -- on children, housekeeping, new neighbors, education, etc. -- pen (some poison) portraits, random notes and reflections, with proper notice taken of the changing seasons, and comment inspired by books, newspapers, incidents, etc.
