Even the youngest of readers will catch on to the little joke that escapes naive little Bumble Bee, a joke he falls victim to, much to his benefit rather than detriment. For here is a bee in search of a new and more exciting identity. Yet, oddly, as Sumble gains experience in the world, he discovers that the nicest things begin with a B(ee) -- buttercups, birds, bicycles, boys, balloons. Satisfied at last, Bumble heads for home, buzzing as loud as a Bold Brass Band.
