THE HORSE WHO LIVED UPSTAIRS

What happens when Joey, who is discontented because he lives in a big building in New York City, and has to go up four flights in an elevator each night to his stall, gets a chance to realize his dream of living in a red barn and kick up his heels and run about in green meadows, makes a likeable sad-and-glad story. Children will like, too, the numerous full color drawings and double page spreads, which complement the humor and pathos of the text, by Helen Stone. This is an author-artist combination we wish would hurry and give us more. 6-9's will enjoy it also.
