No heroics nor dramatics in this record of an American pilot, from Minnesota, ex-instructor at the International Flying School in Laredo, Texas, and member of the RAF from July 1940 to date. He was stationed near Dover, was shot down and hospitalized, did patrol work over northern England, and finally from defense work went into the offensive against German bases in France. He reveals himself as anything but the intrepid hero, confesses to scaring as readily as the next one, and- in his record- adds another excellent panel to the panorama of RAF activities.
