KIRKUS REVIEW

I started to cook with my new electric gadgets,"" sighed Mother, but "" 'The fuse blew out again,' I said."" When Mr. George, the electrician, comes to install a new outlet next morning, Mother's little girl tells in first person what she learned. ""I was puzzled,"" as Mr. George explained about amperes and voltage, then ""I was all mixed up"" about power stations, transformers, fuse boxes, and circuit breakers. Finally light dawns--"" 'Wow!' I said. 'I'll remember that.' "" But between the dismal pictures, awkward page design, and kiddie-book writing, we won't.
