KIRKUS REVIEW

This is just to give a tantalizing bit of information as there were only 25 copies of the de luxe edition of A Book of Trout Flies and by now they are probably sold. However, it won't hurt to know about it as they will be collectors items and you may get calls. There are two books beautifully bound in morocco -- one contains the text on Japanese vellum -- the other opens but is a box containing 30 real flies, made and tied by the author. Every bit of material he uses is specially selected, in fact I am sure the feathers must be hand picked! Because of the tremendous amount of work involved in making and tying these flies, delivery cannot be promised before February. But it is worth waiting for. It is the very rare gem that both sportsmen and collectors will give their eye teeth to own.
