ALDO'S TOWER

Set in contemporary southern Italy, this story of a poor baker's family and how they found a new place to live, has marked uplift. From their home in a waterfront cellar, it is Aldo the youngest who rebels against the cold and goes up the mountain- to find the tower in the sun'lght. A mother and daughter have camped there already, but there is plenty of room and Aldo's perseverance- plus the discovery of some workable stone ovens- gets his family there too.
