KIRKUS REVIEW

A ten strike, and sure to be one of the best sellers of the holiday season, among books appealing to those with fattish pocketbooks. It is worth the price and seems to us far and away the best Mother Goose in many a long year. Nice big pages, for spreading out on laps; gay flat color with enough of sophistication in the drawing not to appear too casual; and as comprehensive a collection of rhymes as I know, all the familiar ones in their familiar form, and many that one is not apt to associate with Mother Goose, but which fit there admirably. The Benet note to parents is of particular value.
