KIRKUS REVIEW

The joint author, with Eliot, of If War Comes (Macmillan, 1937) has produced a military geography in which the physical features, geographically speaking, of the countries of the world which may possibly be involved in a world war are shown through simplified maps. These maps not only show possible angles of approach, natural and artificial defenses, etc., but are supplemented by symbols indicating degrees of preparedness, vital distances, possible ways of approach. For the man strategically minded.
