For them as think they've missed nothing in mystery yarns --this has a new shock technique, stream of consciousness and dialogue style that is a new high (or low) in rowdy, drunken murder concoctions. Private McPherson, brought in as object of a treasure hunt by Patty Tarleton, has his eyes opened to murder among the eccentric Tarleton tribe. Airing a few family skeletons, outsmarting warped minds buying information, he sleuths a double killing. Tries a bit too hard, but smartpaces along.
