HIGH GREEN AND THE BARK PEELERS

The story of how one man made a universal boyhood dream come true -- getting to ride a locomotive cab, and of how, in the process of doing so, he made a study of a small but highly individual old railroad with quite a past and apparently a bright future -- New England's Boston and Maine Railroad. Though the handling is not smooth, the material has an unending appeal, particularly local, which all embryonic high-ballers will relish, and which all railroad enthusiasts will find informative.
