NIETZSCHE AND CHRISTIAN ETHICS

The attack upon Christian morality, as distinguished from Christian dogma, has been spear-headed in the modern era by the German philosopher Nietzsche. As his point of view has found expression in Nazism and in Communism a review of his attack on Christianity and a refutation of it is certainly timely. Here is given a clear outline of Nietzsche's philosophy, and of the nature of his attack on Christianity. The philosopher's misconception of Christian ethics is pointed out and arguments are marshalled to demonstrate that, Nietzsche to the contrary notwithstanding, Christianity as an ethic of love works and develops the highest type of man.
