The life story of Reuben Castang, the famous English animal trainer and wild animal man. He was trained under the Hagenbecks in Germany and from his teens has handled elephants, lions and tigers, goats, bears, leopards, apes -- a varied assortment of creatures with whom he has built up a code of friendship. Circus and menagerie background -- in this country and in Europe. Interned in Germany during the war, he was kept in a prison camp and trained ferrets. Later -- In West Africa, he captured twenty-nine chimpanzee. A colorful career, and it makes good reading. Double market, through definite juvenile appeal.
