A report to teachers and parents on an experiment with junior high students in New York City to promote cultural democracy and tolerance through understanding and recognition of minority groups. Through a series of ""Parrandas"", arranged by parents and teachers together, the children learned different customs of the participating families -- for example, dinner might be served at a Puerto Rioan home with traditional dishes etc. followed by dessert in an Irish or Jewish home. A lesson in democracy under relaxed party conditions. A guide for similar projects, suggested group games and bibliographies of sociological material on cultural groups is included.
