THE BROWNSTONE HOUSE

By

Pub Date: Aug. 1st, 1974

Rae Foley has been around a while and so have her readers (one generation later than Mignon Eberhart's) and this is about three girls, the best of friends, until Hope who is the richest marries the art teacher to whom they're all susceptible. Still, courtesy of her father (was he crooked rich?) she lets them live in the brownstone where she will be murdered because. . . . If you're there for the hidden tape in the icetray, you'll be told that that's a sneakily feminine place to put it -- which is after all what this audience likes.
