AFTER THE SUN GOES DOWN

After the sun goes down, the owls are ready for play, and a red ribbon attached to a forlorn teddy bear is the object of diversion. Playing Crack the Whip and Witch on a Broom gets out of hand however, when a mouse, squirrels, raccoons and a real biting bear get into the act. Yet despite all the excitement, neither illustrations nor text convey the authentic feel of a woodsy night among the active inhabitants of a forest.
