CALLING ALL DUCKS

Midgle is happy until he finds out that he is being used as a call duck -- a decoy to lure his relatives, the wild mallards, to their death. He works out a system of warning the flock and manages to teach his owner something about fair play. There's a certain amount of dramatic interest for small boys in the story, and the Nils Hogner pictures in brown and green have a decorative value. Better for reading aloud than self reading, as the type is fairly massed and rather thin.
