THE MAGIC OF THINKING RICH

Less magic here than hard work and subterfuge. Charell, who once counseled How I Turn Ordinary Complaints into Thousands of Dollars (for which he received the Guinness Book of World Records title of ""world's most successful complainer""), speaks directly to the hearts of those ""for whom the acquisition of great personal wealth is a passion."" No one, indeed, need be driven to use Bic pens and dine at McDonald's: money is worth having, you're worthy of having it, you won't use a red cent to hurt anyone (or so the correct inner tape goes). Money-makers, we're advised, have a sixth sense about the most profitable opportunities and associates. A money-maker's ""on the move"" (but not ""already arrived"") wardrobe should stick to basics, and avoid fads. She or he should work on voice, diction, etc., to produce magic ""vibes""; should distill the essence of his or her talents and interests, then trade them ""up"" for more productive rewards. And so on. No genuine money-making ploys; it's all in the attitude, Charell would have us believe. And if he manages to convince enough people, he may turn ordinary wishful thinking into another small pot of gold.
