Colorado in 1870 backgrounds a tale of pioneer ranching, and the fight for a rightful claim. Young Steve Nerrill and his uncle's family, have been sent for by Steve's widowed father, George, who had gone to Colorado a year before them to find a good ranch site. Arriving, they are greeted by the mysterious disappearance of both George and the house he's built, and a threat from the villainous Musgrove who tries to buy them out. But subsequent pluck sees the neighbors help Steve's family establish themselves, rescue cousin Margaret from the Utes, trap Musgrove and find Steve's father. Standard plot and treatment.
