Following The Quaker Bedside Book and The Catholic Bedside Book we no have this volume setting forth in convenient form the history and distinctive and practices of the Methodist Church. As this is the third largest Protestant group in the world and the largest in the United States there is a very wide tential reading public. The author has done a superb job in gathering and quotable material which gives a clear account of the beginnings of Methodis life and work of John and Charles Wesley, of its expansion throughout the world social interests and its ecumenical attachments. As Methodists are very their church, its past and its present, large numbers of them undoubtedly will to have this book. Historically a church of the masses, it has taken seriously Wesley's famous statement ""I look upon all the world as my parish"". Methodi particularly should ""feel their hearts strangely warmed"" as they read this book.
